asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether he has yet completed his investigations into the cause of the increase in the price of flakemeal, and, if so, what action he proposes to take in the matter.

As indicated in my previous reply, I have had this matter investigated. The Prices Advisory Body have reported that the increase in the price of flake oatmeal is due entirely to the increase in the prices payable by millers for oats and can be fairly related to those prices. The matter is being kept under review.
