asked the Minister for Local Government whether any proposals have been submitted to him to prevent a recurrence of flooding in Dublin, and whether he has given instructions to any local authority to submit such proposals.

The local authorities concerned have not submitted any such proposals to me.

I have not issued any instructions on this matter as I have no power to do so. I understand, however, that the Dublin Corporation has the matter under active consideration.
