asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware (1) that there is a large number of uneconomic holders in the district of Northbrook, Aughrim, County Galway, and (2) that a large farm of 300 acres, sufficient to relieve local congestion, has been offered for sale recently and is being sub-let and, if so, if he will state what steps the Land Commission are taking in both these matters.

I am asking the Land Commission to check on the uneconomic holders in the area mentioned in the Deputy's question and any action the Land Commission may take in regard to the estate mentioned may depend on the results of this survey.
