asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission are aware that for some years a number of holdings in the Maree district, near Oranmore, County Galway, have been badly affected by coast erosion, and, if so, whether the Commission will consider granting each landholder in question an exchange of holding.

The Land Commission are negotiating with one applicant in this area who wishes to exchange his holding, but they are not aware of any general desire among the people to seek exchanges to other lands.
