asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, with reference to the resolutions passed by various local authorities in favour of the adjustment of superannuation allowances of their retired employees to meet the increased cost of living, when it is proposed to give local authorities power to grant such adjustments, as has been done in the case of serving employees.

This matter is being examined but no decision has yet been reached.
