asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether his Department have any plans under consideration for the development of the slate quarries at Broadford, Killaloe.

The development of these slate quarries is a matter for private enterprise and I am not aware of any current proposal for their development. Any person who requires geological information on the deposits will, of course, be facilitated by the Geological Survey Office.
