asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that there are mineral deposits in the Caherdaniel, Valentia, Caherciveen, Glencar, Glenbeigh and Castlemaine areas of South Kerry, and if he will bring this fact to the notice of interested mining companies.

Information about the mineral deposits in the areas in South Kerry to which the Deputy refers are on record in the Geological Survey. This information has already been brought to the notice of parties interested in mining.
