asked the Minister for Finance if he is now in a position to state when work will commence on the Swilly Burn catchment drainage scheme.

Following the recent exhibition of the scheme in accorddance with the provisions of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, the further statutory requirements are now receiving attention. I am not at present in a position to say when works under the scheme may start.
