asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the cost of school building proposals and plans which are in arrears at present in the special schools division of the Office of Public Works.

The amount of the grants sanctioned by the Department of Education for school building and improvement schemes, excluding minor schemes, on which construction works have not yet commenced, is approximately £1,900,000.
