asked the Minister for Local Government what the position is in regard to the direct labour housing schemes of Dublin Corporation; and whether more men are likely to be employed on these schemes.

At 23rd May, 1957,346 houses were being built by Dublin Corporation's direct labour organisation which was also developing sites for 1,092 houses. The total number of men so employed was 492. An early increase is not anticipated in the numbers employed on these schemes.
