asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the price of oats last season, and the ratio of 12 stone of oats to one hundredweight of flake meal, he has satisfied himself that the present retail price of flake meal is justified.

The retail price of flake meal is not controlled by Order and I am satisfied that the fairest price to the consumer for this commodity is best established by competitive conditions between suppliers at all levels of sale.
