asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that Communist propaganda was furthered by the recent Kruschev interview received on television sets in the State; and whether he proposes to take steps to prevent propaganda of such a nature being allowed in the proposed Irish television service.

I have no knowledge of the effect of the interview referred to by the Deputy. Suggestions about the nature of the material to be permitted on an Irish television service, whenever it may be established, are premature.
