Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coast Erosion in North Kerry.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that considerable damage is being caused by coast erosion in North Kerry and the Dingle Gaeltacht; and if any funds are available from central or local authorities to construct protective walls in such cases.

I have no information in regard to the matter referred to in the first part of the question and there are no central funds available for the carrying out of works of the nature suggested. The question of carrying out such works out of local funds would be a matter for determination by the local authority.
