asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of appeals (a) heard by appeal boards set up under the Social Welfare Acts in the last 12 months, (b) disallowed for alleged misconduct at places of employment, and (c) disallowed for voluntarily leaving employment.

The number of questions decided by appeals officers appointed under the Social Welfare Acts during the year ended on 30th September, 1957, was 9,201. The figures requested by the Deputy at (b) and (c) of his question are not available.
