asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Owenduff and Cartron area, Achill Sound, was inspected with regard to the possibility of having a forest planted there; and whether an expert was sent at any time to inspect the area, and, if not, if he will consider having an official of his Department visit the area in connection with the matter.

The lands in question were inspected in January, 1954, and as previously indicated they were found to be wholly unsuitable for forestry development.
