asked the Minister for Finance whether the investigation carried out jointly by the Commissioners of Public Works and the E.S.B. regarding the solution of the River Shannon flood problem and referred to by him in a reply of 20th February last has yet concluded; and, if so, with what result.

It is expected that the field work for this investigation will take about two years after which some time will be needed for study and consideration of the information collected.
