The following statement shows for each month of 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957 and for the months January to August, inclusive, of 1958 the terms of trade (i.e. export price (Unit Value) Index Number divided by import price (Unit Value) Index Number and multiplied by 100). The bases of the Index Numbers used are, as is customary, the annual 1953 Index Numbers, and not the averages of the monthly figures.

TERMS of Trade Index Numbers in each month January, 1954 to August, 1958. Base: Year 1953=100.
