I propose, with the permission of the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, to take questions Nos. 1 and 2 together and to circulate with the Official Report a statement giving the details requested in the form set out in the Balance of International Payments Statement.
Following is the statement:—
DETAILS of Other capital transactions of £17,700,000 in Table I of the appendix to Economic Statistics.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary tell me how many items that deals with and what proportion at the end is left unaccounted for? What is the amount not accounted for?

There are £18,180,000 credit and £3,220,000 debit.

This question is a repetition of a question put down in 1956 and 1957. There are elements of a confidential nature under the heading of "Other capital transactions" that cannot be revealed without giving information of a confidential character.

What is the amount that the Statistics Office know but cannot reveal because it is confidential and what is the amount that is unaccounted for?
