asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the deplorable condition of the present Post Office premises in Claremorris, including a leaking roof and bad sanitation; if a site for a new office has been acquired, and, if so, when it is proposed to build the office.

I am aware that the Post Office premises in Claremorris are not satisfactory and need regular maintenance attention. A site for a new office has been acquired and its planning is in the initial stages but I am unable at present to forecast when it will be provided.
