asked the Minister for Local Government what is the position in relation to the construction of a new bridge at Lifford, County Donegal.

The Donegal County Council has been authorised to proceed with the preparation of final drawings and contract documents for this project on the basis of an amended version of the plans and documents already submitted. The final version, when completed, will be subject to my approval and to that of the responsible authorities on the Tyrone side.
