Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Meath Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that there are many uneconomic holders in the vicinity of the Sweetman Estate at Drumbara, Kells, County Meath; whether these people will be interviewed before this estate is divided; and if in view of the congestion which exists in North Meath migrants from outside Meath will not be planted there.

The claims of eligible uneconomic holders in the vicinity of this estate will be fully investigated before allocation takes place. As the Deputy is no doubt aware, the selection of allottees is a matter for the Land Commission and I am having his representations conveyed to them.
