asked the Taoiseach if he will state the value of goods imported from and exported to Japan in each year since 1956.

I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the value of goods imported from and exported to Japan in each of the years 1956, 1957 and 1958, and in the period 1st January, 1959 to 31st August, 1959.

Following is the statement:—

VALUE of imports originating in Japan and of exports to Japan in each year 1956 to 1958 and in the period January to August 1959.
