asked the Minister for Transport and Power if his attention has been called to complaints made at a recent meeting of Meath Executive of the National Farmers' Association in regard to undue delays in the transport of cattle by Córas Iompair Éireann from Ardee to Dublin; and if he will state the number of licensed hauliers permitted within a ten miles radius of Ardee.

My attention has not been called to any complaints of the kind referred to by the Deputy.

There are four hauliers licensed to carry cattle whose headquarters are within a 10-mile radius of Ardee.
