asked the Minister for Local Government (1) what progress is being made and (2) what the present position is in regard to the erection of a new bridge over the Flesk River at Muckross Road, Killarney, County Kerry.

The Department's views on the design of the new bridge at Flesk were conveyed to the council's consulting engineers last July. The further proposals of the county council and their advisers are awaited.
