asked the Minister for Finance whether his Department have any proposals for the relief of the serious flooding of the River Shevin from Daly's Mill at Kilyan, through Clonshevina to Timicat, Toomard, County Galway, where thousands of acres of land are water-logged.

Comment on this

The Shevin River is part of the River Suck Catchment area, and it can be dealt with by the Commissioners of Public Works only under a comprehensive drainage scheme for the catchment as a whole.
