asked the Minister for Finance the names of, and the fees paid to, counsel briefed on behalf of the State for each of the years 1958 and 1959 and to the latest convenient date for 1960.

Subject to the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report a tabular statement showing the fees paid to counsel from Votes accounted for by my Office and that of the Revenue Commissioners. I am not in a position to give particulars of fees paid from other Votes.
