Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Kerry Forestry Centres.

asked the Minister for Lands the number of forestry centres in South Kerry, where each is sited, the number of acres planted up to the present in each centre, the acreage acquired and yet to be planted, the number of acres so far offered in each centre, the number of such acres for which negotiations are in progress with a view to acquisition, and the total number of forestry employees in each centre.

There are five State Forestry centres established in South Kerry—at Cahirciveen, Kenmare, Kilgarvan, Killarney and Killorglin. The total area on offer to my Department in South Kerry is 11,155 acres.
