The names, locations, and items produced by the industrial projects referred to in part (a) of the Deputy's question are given in a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, to have circulated with the Official Report. The employment potential of these projects is estimated to range between 8,000 and 13,000.
At the beginning of this year, there were 61 industrial proposals on hands in which it was expected that production which commence in the course of 1961. The employment potential of these projects is estimated to range between 4,200 and 6,400.
A further 33 industrial proposals are on hands which have reached a stage at which it seems likely that they will come to fruition. The employment potential of these projects is estimated to range between 3,500 and 5,30.0.
Following is the statement:—
NEW Industries and Extensions to Existing Industries which came to notice as having commercial production in the period from 1st April, 1957 to 31st December, 1960.
