Michael Moran Minister for Lands (Mr. Moran) Fianna Fáil

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

County Offaly

LANDS in the possession of the Land Commission at 15th April, 1961, apart from turbary and small residues of allotted estates

(a) The area of lands on hands of the Land Commission is subject to constant fluctuation. In County Offaly, since 1st April, 1960, an aggregate area of 1,348 acres has been distributed amongst 54 allottees.

(b) It is expected that the estates at (5), (8), (9), (10) and (12) above will be allotted at an early date. Final arrangements have not yet been made for disposal of the remaining properties.
