asked the Minister for Health whether it is a fact that a recent audit of the accounts of An Bord Altranais disclosed grave irregularities; and, if so, what action he proposes to take on the Auditor's Report.

The Auditor's report on the accounts of An Bord Altranais for the year 1960 refers to defects in that year in the accountancy system and procedures of An Bord. I have asked that, as a matter of urgency, the Board should furnish their observations on the Auditor's comments.
