asked the Minister for Agriculture for each of the years 1953 to 1960 inclusive the amount paid by the Government to supplement the payments made in the said years by the Pigs and Bacon Commission for its stabilisation fund.

No payments were made in the years 1953 to 1956. The amounts paid in the years 1957 to 1960 were as follows: 1957, £430,000; 1958, £677,000; 1959, £150,000; 1960, £780,000.
