asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in erecting a new school for the Convent of Mercy, New Inn, Cashel, County Tipperary; and if he is in a position to state the approximate date on which work will commence.

This school is one of many being dealt with, in order of priority, by the Office of Public Works. It is hoped to place a contract for the erection of the school early next year.
