asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will introduce a scheme whereby each school-going child whose parents are in receipt of unemployment assistance will get a pint of milk each day, in view of the large surplus of milk and the lack of an alternative market for butter.

I am not prepared to introduce a scheme on the lines proposed by the Deputy.
