asked the Minister for Transport and Power for each of the financial years 1957-58 to 1961-62 inclusive and for each of the half years ended 30th September 1958, 1959, 1960, and 1961 the number of passengers carried by (a) Córas Iompair Éireann (b) Aer Lingus and (c) Aerlinte.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a tabular statement setting out the information requested by the Deputy.

The number of passengers carried for each of the financial years 1957-58 to 1961-62 inclusive and for each of the half years ended 30th September 1958, 1959, 1960 and 1961 by (a) Córas Iompair Éireann, (b) Aer Lingus and (c) Aerlinte was as follows:—

(a) Coras Iompair Eireann.

NOTE: C.I.E. figures in respect of the years 1957-58 and 58-59 and the corresponding half-years have been adjusted, for comparative purposes, to include G.N.R. figures.
