asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will restore the grants for cow-byres from £9 to £12 particularly in view of the fact that material and labour have gone up considerably during the past few years.

The grants provided by my Department for the erection of cow-byres were increased by 50 per cent. with effect from the 1st June, 1961. It is not my intention to give a further increase.
