Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Value of Turf Sales.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state in respect of Bord na Móna the total value of sales of milled peat, machine turf, and briquettes for the year 1962-63.

Comment on this

I am informed by Bord na Móna that in the year ended 31st March, 1963, sales of machine turf were £2,634,101; milled peat £1,323,098 and turf briquettes £1,177,006.

Can the Minister state if the present sales of turf briquettes tax the capacity of the two factories we have established?

Cormac Breslin An Leas-Cheann Comhairle Fianna Fáil

That would be a separate question.

Comment on this

It is a simple question. Are we able to sell the entire output of the two factories?

Comment on this

We are able to sell their output.

Comment on this

Is it proposed to add to their capacity for the production of turf briquettes?

Comment on this

Not at the moment.
