asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of persons on the latest available date in receipt of (a) old age pensions, (b) blind pensions, (c) widows' and orphans' pensions, (d) blind welfare allowances, and (e) national health benefits.

The required numbers are: Old age pensions, 146,081; blind pensions, 6,305; widows' and orphans' pensions, 60,058; blind welfare allowances, 2,928; and disability benefit, 45,941.
