asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he can give any approximate date as to when a new post office will be provided in Carlow.

I am advised that the Office of Public Works hope to invite tenders next year for the Government offices scheme at Carlow, which includes provision for a new post office, and that it will take about two years to complete the building.
