asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to allegations made at a meeting of Mayo Vocational Education Committee on the 11th February that there was a leakage of information regarding tenders for the erection of a vocational school at Charlestown, County Mayo; and if he will investigate the matter and make a statement on it.

I have seen the newspaper report referred to. My Department has received no information, however, in regard to the circumstances which gave rise to the report. Any allegation made against a member or members of a vocational education committee is a matter for the committee concerned in the first instance.
