asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will consider providing a grant towards the purchase of milk coolers of a certain manufacture (name supplied) for farmers supplying milk for the manufacture of cheese.

If assistance is to be provided for the provision of milk coolers for farmers supplying milk for cheesemaking, I think it should be provided by the purchasers of the milk.

So far as my Department is concerned considerable assistance to producers in regard to improvement of milk quality is already being provided by way of advisory services and increased grants for the improvement of cowbyres, milking parlours, dairies and water supplies.
