I move that the Bill be now read a Second Time. This Bill provides for an increase of five per cent in the pension payable to the widow of Terence MacSwiney. The increase is in accordance with those for State pensioners generally, mentioned in the 1963 Budget and it was put into effect from 1st November last on the authority of a Supplementary Estimate which was approved on 28th November, 1963. The Bill is required to give statutory effect to the increase.
