asked the Minister for Local Government if he will complete all dealings with Laois County Council in regard to the water supply scheme for Borris-in-Ossory, Laois; and if the county council will be authorised to invite tenders for this scheme which has been under consideration for thirty years.

Laois County Council were informed last May that there was no objection in principle to proceeding with the scheme as proposed by them. They will be in a position to invite tenders when the contract documents have been completed.
