asked the Minister for Finance if he is now in a position to state definitely when (a) the Abbey Theatre will be completed, and (b) when it will be open to the public.

I am not yet in a position to give definite dates for the completion and opening of the Abbey Theatre. I am informed, however, that the theatre is expected to be completed and opened to the public by October, 1965.
