asked the Minister for Local Government the number of applications for (a) water and sewerage (b) reconstruction and (c) new housing grants in County Kerry being considered by his Department, the number awaiting first inspection, and the number awaiting payment.

The inspection work in County Kerry is at present up to date. The classification of applications and pending payments in the manner requested by the Deputy is not considered justifiable as it would entail a number of days' work by the office staff who are required to give their prior attention to the clearance of payments in the present month.
