James Ryan Minister for Finance (Dr. Ryan) Fianna Fáil

The answer is in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

In the foregoing table:—

A applies to (i) a woman or (ii) an unmarried man whose remuneration is governed by differentiation on a marriage basis;

B applies to (i) a married man or (ii) an unmarried man whose remuneration is not governed by differentiation on a marriage basis.
