asked the Minister for Education what is the present position regarding the rebuilding of Belgrove girls national school, Clontarf, Dublin; and when it is expected that building operations will commence.

The preparation of working drawings has been completed and bills of quantities are now in course of preparation. I understand that the manager's architect hopes to be in a position to invite tenders in September next.

I cannot say at present when building operations will commence.
