asked the Minister for Education the amount of money, if any, which is deducted from the capitation grants of primary school teachers towards the salary of any secular teacher on the same staff.

A deduction at the rate of £737 per annum is made in respect of each lay assistant teacher on the required minimum staff of national schools paid by the capitation grants system.
