andMr. R. Barry asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state in respect of each of the commissions and interdepartmental committees referred to in a reply of 1st March (1) the purpose for which it was set up and (2) when it is expected that it will issue a final report.

The purpose of the interdepartmental Advisory Committee on Publicity Abroad, established under the aegis of my Department in 1961, is to review suggestions for publicity directed to expanding interest in Irish history and culture, promoting exports and tourism and emphasising the opportunities for profitable investment in modern Ireland. The question of issuing a final report does not arise.
