asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will introduce legislation to amend the Gas Acts to provide for the application of the principles of the Companies Act, 1963 to the annual accounts for public companies engaged in the production of gas.

I am not aware of any general demand for the amendment of the present form of accounts used by the public gas companies, but I would be prepared to consider any reasoned representations made to me in the matter by interested parties.
