asked the Minister for Education if in future he will arrange for the names of the chief examiners responsible for setting the questions to appear on each intermediate and leaving certificate paper in accordance with university practice.

I do not propose to make arrangements as requested by the Deputy. The setting of each examination paper for the certificate examinations is the collective responsibility of my Department. I am satisfied that the public interest does not require the publication of the names of the examiners.
